German shepherd, struck on Freeway, in need of help
Marina Del Rey, CA - German shepherd Marina was struck by a car while on the 90 Freeway on Tuesday. Thankfully a Good Samaritan stopped to help.
She was then taken to a critical care center to have her injuries evaluated. Marina has a spiral fracture in her rear left, hind distal femur, and a broken femoral head on her right leg. :(
The multiple fractures, in addition to her battered body, are extremely painful. The individual that found Marina reached out to the rescue community to help with the injured dog’s veterinary expenses and they found the Coastal German Shepherd Rescue.
Coastal German Shepherd Rescue has graciously agreed to help Marina, but they need help raising funds for the dog’s serious injuries. Veterinarians estimate that Marina’s care and recovery will cost nearly $3000. Click to help.

She’s about 2 years old, weighs approximately 52 pounds. She has an obvious issue with her eye, but it’s nothing some TLC and good medical care can’t fix. Animals like her don’t make it out of shelters often, unfortunately, so she needs a rescue group to pull her out ASAP! Look at that faaaaaaaace!!! ♥ She’s a good girl, super sweet. I hope she makes it out!

Dog Stabbed: German Shepherd Fatally Stabbed More than 50 Times, Attacker Sought

SAN DIEGO ( KTLA) — Authorities in San Diego are searching for the person who stabbed a German shepherd more than 50 times, leaving it to suffer and eventually die in some bushes.
The 9-month-old shepherd-mix was stabbed in the stomach, chest and throat with what appears to be a one-inch blade, according to Department of Animal Services spokesman Dan DeSousa.
The dog likely put up a huge fight and left a pool of blood as it staggered for several blocks and eventually died in some bushes Saturday morning, DeSousa said.
Authorities are searching for the attacker. Hopefully they find him! (read more) RIP pup. :’(
